Our Warranty

Warranty Disclaimer: Apex Sealcoating, LLC

Apex Sealcoating, LLC provides a limited warranty for all sealcoating applications against defects in materials and workmanship.

  • Labor is covered for 30 days from the original date of application.

  • Materials are covered for one (1) year from the application date per manufacturers warranty (labor not included after 30 days).

Asphalt sealer is designed to last up to two years under normal conditions, typically enduring two full winter cycles. However, some wear or surface imperfections may appear after the first winter due to weather exposure (e.g., snow, ice, freeze-thaw cycles). Traffic volume, environmental conditions, and usage patterns will affect the rate of wear and performance.

Warranty Claim Process

To submit a warranty claim:

  1. All claims must be submitted in writing within the applicable warranty period.

  2. Claims must include a description of the issue and any relevant photos.

  3. Apex Sealcoating, LLC reserves the right to inspect any reported defects before determining whether the claim qualifies for warranty coverage.

The final decision on all warranty claims rests with the owner of Apex Sealcoating, LLC.

What the Warranty Covers

Defects in original materials or workmanship during the covered period.

What the Warranty Does Not Cover

The following are not covered under warranty and may require a new, billable service:

  1. Normal wear and tear due to time, traffic, or weather

  2. Failure to follow proper cure time (24–48 hours) after application

  3. Damage from environmental or external factors, including but not limited to:

    • Lawn chemicals, sprinklers, or domestic animals

    • Foot or vehicle traffic during cure time

    • Snowplows, excessive gravel, tire chains, or winter salt

    • Tree sap, pitch, or transparent petroleum-based products

    • Gasoline, oil, antifreeze, or other automotive fluids

    • Residue from wash-and-wax products, playground chalk, silicone tire cleaners, chocolate, or paraffin-based items

Note: Customers are responsible for power-washing the surface before application to remove any invisible contaminants like sap, wax, or chemical residue. These can cause peeling or flaking after the first winter.

Out-of-Warranty Requests

Requests for resealing, repairs, or cosmetic improvements outside the warranty period — or not covered under the warranty — will be considered a new service and billed accordingly.
We do not provide free touch-ups or reapplications beyond the stated warranty coverage.
